Lorna brings to her portfolio skills learned in over twenty-five years of pastoral experience which has included Interim Ministry, Spiritual Direction, experience as Overseas Personnel, and justice related work. She believes that the spiritual life of people will be reflected in conviction and passion to live out their faith in all aspects of their lives.
Identifying opportunities and resources to enable leaders and groups to find ways to sustain, nurture, challenge, and enable their own spiritual lives and that of their communities is a major part of her work. Lorna produces two monthly publications, Daring Discipleship and Toward Daring Discipleship, which provide resources and links for congregations and ministry leadership
Lorna resources the following committees and networks: Agenda and Business, Worship and Theme, The Week of Guided Prayer, Resource Distribution, Daring Hope for Gender Justice, Children and Youth, Church School Teachers, the Conference U.C.W. Executive and 50th Anniversary Committee, and Conference Camping. She works in cooperation with the Conference Coordinating Committee on Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response in the area of building safe communities. Lorna is the staff person responsible for Youth Forum and Children and Young Teens at Conference (CAYTS), and is also Persistent Friend to Erie and Halton Presbyteries.
