Emergency Appeal for Myanmar

United Church of Canada partner, Action by Churches Together (ACT) is preparing to distribute immediate relief food and supplies to Myanmar (Burma), which was struck by the worst Asian cyclone since 1991, triggering a storm surge and flooding in the five worst hit states, where more than half of the country's 53 million people live. ACT is a global alliance of faith-based relief organizations that work through local and regional partners. [Read more]

 

84th Annual Meeting of Hamilton Conference

The 84th Annual Meeting of Hamilton Conference will be held at the Fergus Community Centre, 550 Belsyde Avenue, Fergus, Ontario from Friday, May 23 to Sunday May 25, 2008. Our President, Maggie McLeod, has chosen as her theme for this year “Toward Right Relations: A Journey of the Heart.” Registration forms and information are now available from your Presbytery Secretary or on our Annual Meeting page.

Prayer Cycle:

As a church, we are called to pray for each other and for our mission in the world. The Hamilton Conference Prayer Cycle invites prayer each week for particular pastoral charges and their work. You are invited to pray for the following pastoral charges in May:

May 4: St. Jacob's (Waterloo Presbytery)
May 11: Sheffield (Waterloo Presbyery)
May 18: Silverdale-Tintern (Niagara Presbytery)
May 25: Southampton (Mount Hope, Southampton) (Bruce Presbytery)
